In the spring of 1999 our club organized our first fundraising event. We wanted to put together an outdoors-person package. In order to do this we looked for support from merchants in Starkville and the surrounding towns. Their response was very positive, and they were ready to support our club in any way possible. With their generous donations, we were able to accomplish our goal and create a first and second prize packages. The 1^st prize was valued at over $225 dollars and 2^nd prize was valued at $135 dollars. After we sold tickets, the lucky winners were announced at the annual College of Forest Resources Awards Banquet. This fundraising event could never have been such a wonderful success if it wasn''t for all the club members and donors who donated their time, money and effort. For them we are grateful and extend our sincerest thanks.
